$3000 Raised! We ROCKED the Dakota Foundation alright! What’s next?

$3000 Raised for Bipolar Awareness at Rocking Fundraiser Event!

Kelowna, BC – SEPTEMBER 20th, 2024 – The local community came together this past Sunday at The HUB on Martin for a powerful and heartfelt inaugural fundraiser, raising just under $3000 for the Dakota Foundation for Bipolar Awareness. The event, hosted by IBEV & the Hub on Martin owners, Kori, Loree, and Matt, and supported by various local bands and businesses, proved to be an incredible success, celebrating music, community spirit, and a shared commitment to supporting mental health.

With an impressive lineup of performances by Room To Dance, Big Boss Man, Cobra Radio, TG Musik & JByrd Musiq, The Young’Uns, Wheelhouse Band, Get Chico Band, and Red Sun, the event was filled with positive energy and compassion. The audience was treated to an unforgettable day of live music, good vibes, and generosity, as local artists came together to donate their time and talent to this important cause.

A special shoutout to Tammy Arishnikoff, who flawlessly managed the silent auction, and Kinga Heming, who greeted attendees with grace and a warm smile throughout the event. The event’s sound was expertly handled by Geoff, who dedicated his day to ensuring the event sounded as good as it felt. And of course, Tim Reardon, who, despite an exhausting week of gigs, stayed another night to perform and support the cause.

The event was made possible by the support of media sponsors K96.3 – Kelowna’s Classic Rock, New Country 100.7, and Kelowna Capital News, along with the dedicated teams from IBEV and the Dakota Foundation.

“We are blown away by the turnout and generosity of everyone who contributed,” said Brad Krauza, the event organizer. “The passion, dedication, and love shown by the local music community and everyone who helped make this event a reality remind us of the power we have to make a difference.”

Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Dakota Foundation for Bipolar Awareness, supporting initiatives that aim to improve the lives of individuals living with bipolar disorder through education, resources, and support at the Healthy Essentials Clinic in the Central Okanagan.

Thank you again to everyone involved for making this fundraiser a tremendous success! With your support, we rocked the stage and raised critical funds to continue our work in spreading awareness and offering help to those affected by bipolar disorder.
